The Singapore International Film Festival will honour Aamir Khan with its Screen Icon Award and open its 37th edition with Hur Jin-ho’s South Korean thriller The Assassin(s), according to programme reports published by Screen Daily on September 24, 2026, and Variety on September 25.

Khan is due to attend a special screening marking the 25th anniversary of Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India, alongside its director, Ashutosh Gowariker.
