Amazon has ordered a series adaptation of Benjamin Stevenson’s murder-mystery novel “Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone,” with Penn Badgley set to lead the cast.

David Hemingson, the Academy Award-nominated writer of “The Holdovers,” will adapt the book and serve as showrunner and executive producer. Producers Bruna Papandrea and Steve Hutensky are also attached to the project.

The commission brings Stevenson’s novel to television as a scripted mystery built around a family whose members are linked by a series of killings. Amazon has not yet announced a release date or additional cast in the source report.
