- Dangote proposed listing at least 10 percent of the Gode fertilizer business in Ethiopia after production stabilizes, The Reporter reported on October 17, 2026.
- No listing date or finalized offer terms were announced.

Aliko Dangote has proposed listing at least 10 percent of the Gode fertilizer business on the Ethiopian Securities Exchange once production stabilizes, according to The Reporter’s account published on October 17, 2026.
The newspaper reported that Dangote outlined the plan at an investor roadshow in Addis Ababa on October 15, 2026. The proposal would give Ethiopian investors an opportunity to acquire shares in the venture, but he did not announce a listing date, the number of shares or the precise scope of the offering.
Dangote said he intended to discuss the proposal with Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed. His remarks describe an intended future transaction; the report does not establish that a securities offering has been approved or opened to investors.
The proposed listing concerns the fertilizer venture in Gode. It is separate from the petroleum-refinery IPO promoted at the Addis Ababa roadshow.
The Reporter said Dangote Group and Ethiopian Investment Holdings signed a shareholders’ agreement in August 2025 for the fertilizer complex, with stakes of 60 percent and 40 percent respectively. That ownership structure makes the eventual source and size of any shares offered material details still to be clarified.
For now, the new development is Dangote’s stated intention to bring part of the business to Ethiopia’s exchange. The timing remains conditional on production stabilizing, and the report provides no finalized offer terms.
