Nearly 120 second-generation Ethiopians and members of their families from Canada have begun a month-long journey to Ethiopia, according to Fana Broadcasting Corporate.
The programme will combine cultural exchange with community service and volunteer activities, giving participants opportunities to reconnect with Ethiopian heritage while contributing to local initiatives during their stay.
Ethiopia’s ambassador to Canada, Theodros Girma, saw the group off and highlighted the importance of the initiative. The visit began on August 14, 2026.
