Na Hong-jin’s science-fiction thriller “Hope” remained No. 1 at the South Korean box office over the July 24–26, 2026 weekend, according to figures reported by Variety from the Korean Film Council’s KOBIS tracking service.
The film earned $5.5 million from 767,366 admissions during the three-day period and accounted for 66.8% of the market. The result kept the big-budget release firmly in first place during a slower weekend for South Korean cinemas.
KOBIS is the national box-office tracking system operated by the Korean Film Council. Its admissions and revenue figures provide the industry’s principal measure of theatrical performance in South Korea.
