Outsider Pictures has acquired US rights to filmmaker Rafiki Fariala’s “Congo Boy” ahead of its North American premiere at the Toronto festival, Variety reported on September 1, 2026.
The film previously screened in the Un Certain Regard section at Cannes. Bradley Fiomona won the section’s best actor prize for his performance as Robert, a 17-year-old whose family was forced to flee its home.
