Digital startup Snips has reached agreements with Banijay Rights and BIG Media to adapt selected television and film library titles into short, vertical-format episodes, according to Variety.

The arrangements cover programs including titles associated with Banijay’s catalogue, such as “Big Brother,” as well as “Humans.” Snips’ model recuts existing long-form entertainment into episodes designed to run for about a minute on mobile-oriented screens.

Banijay Rights is the distribution arm of Banijay Entertainment, whose international formats include “Big Brother” and “MasterChef.” The new agreements illustrate how rights holders are testing additional ways to circulate established programming as audience attention shifts toward short-form, vertically viewed video.

The parties had not disclosed financial terms in the source report published on August 18, 2026.
