Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has appointed Chaltu Sani chief executive officer of Ethiopia’s Federal Housing Corporation, with the appointment taking effect on September 28, 2026, according to Fana Media Corporation and the Ethiopian News Agency.
Chaltu moves to the corporation after serving as minister of urban and infrastructure development. ENA dates her ministerial tenure from October 2021 to September 2026.
Fana placed the appointment within the federal government’s ongoing institutional reorganization following the 2026 national election and the start of a new five-year term. The reports did not set out a new housing programme or delivery targets linked to her appointment.
