Fast bowler Issy Wong recorded career-best figures of five wickets for 33 runs as Ireland were dismissed for 165. Wong struck first by bowling Ireland captain Gaby Lewis and later removed Amy Hunter, who led the visitors’ resistance with 64, to complete her five-wicket haul.
Mady Villiers also took wickets in consecutive overs during her opening spell, including the dismissal of Orla Prendergast. Sophia Dunkley marked her 50th ODI by running out Alice Tector with a direct hit.
England’s chase included setbacks. Maia Bouchier was involved in the run-out of Dunkley before falling five runs short of a half-century, while Alice Capsey was trapped leg-before by Kia McCartney. Jodi Grewcock made 24 before being caught off Cara Murray.
Freya Kemp and Dani Gibson then accelerated the chase and carried England to the target. Gibson finished the match with two sixes in the 23rd over, giving the hosts victory with 27 overs to spare.
The result gave England an unassailable series lead with one match remaining. The final ODI is scheduled for Sunday, September 6, 2026, at Worcester.
