Ethiopia’s National Dialogue Commission handed its consolidated agenda items and recommendations to parliament and federal and regional authorities on 3 October 2026, according to Fana Media Corporation and the Ethiopian News Agency.

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed attended and oversaw the handover, the outlets reported. The completed transfer follows the previously announced plan to submit the recommendations on 3 October.

House of Peoples’ Representatives Speaker Tagesse Chafo called for institutions to follow through on the recommendations, according to ENA’s account of the ceremony. Chief commissioner Mesfin Araya likewise urged the responsible authorities to turn the proposals into policies and action.

The handover moves the process from compiling proposals to consideration by the institutions expected to act on them. It does not, by itself, establish that the recommendations have been adopted or implemented. The reports reviewed for this article do not provide a measure-by-measure implementation timetable.
