Jon Rahm plans to leave LIV Golf after rejecting the terms offered for its proposed relaunch, his lawyer told a bankruptcy hearing on October 7, 2026, according to The Guardian. Sky Sports separately reported his planned departure.
Attorney John Beck told the hearing that Rahm had reviewed the proposed arrangements and would not participate in LIV 2.0. The Guardian reported that his representatives were negotiating a separation agreement. The reports do not establish that the agreement has been completed or identify his next tour.
Rahm joined LIV in December 2023. His planned exit comes as the circuit seeks to reorganize through US Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings, which The Guardian reported began in September 2026 after Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund said it would end funding at year-end.
LIV has expressed confidence in continuing into the 2027 season. Rahm’s decision adds uncertainty to that effort, but other players’ departures remain unconfirmed.
