Divine Mukasa scored twice as West Ham United beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 4-2 in the Championship on September 1, securing their first league victory of the season.

The Manchester City loanee opened the scoring from about 25 yards before Jarrod Bowen converted a penalty to double West Ham’s advantage. Marshall Munetsi pulled one back for Wolves before halftime.

Mukasa struck again after the break, with his shot taking a deflection on its way past goalkeeper José Sá. Konstantinos Mavropanos then scored West Ham’s fourth after his initial header hit the crossbar.

Mavropanos later turned a Jackson Tchatchoua cross into his own net, but Wolves could not narrow the deficit further. The result eased pressure on West Ham manager Nuno Espírito Santo after a difficult start following relegation to the Championship.
