Real Madrid have agreed a club-record package worth up to €135 million with RB Leipzig for Ivory Coast forward Yan Diomande, according to a report published on August 5, 2026.
The agreement is understood to include an initial €125 million payment and a further €10 million in add-ons. If completed on those terms, the transfer would make the 19-year-old the most expensive African footballer.
Diomande joined Leipzig from Leganés in 2025 and later impressed for Côte d’Ivoire at the World Cup. Paris Saint-Germain had also pursued the forward before withdrawing from the race, the report said.
The total package would exceed Real Madrid’s previous club-record outlay for Jude Bellingham, which was reported at up to €134 million including add-ons. Completion of the transfer remains subject to the remaining formal steps.
